It's getting harder to know what is true online when it comes to health information. Articles with false or misleading claims can look just as real as those from trustworthy sources. Please see the following link to an article from the Mayo Clinic reference this.
Preventive Health Care (or Preventive Care or Preventative Care) refers to medical services and healthy lifestyle practices that aim to prevent disease, detect diseases early, and reduce health risks before serious problems develop. Some of the lifestyle practices that support this are diet and exercise, avoid smoking and excessive alcohol, use sunscreen, and manage stress. Medical services that might be included in Preventive Care are blood pressure checks, cholesterol screening, mammograms, colonoscopies, whole body MRI screening, and a comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP, extensive blood work).
We strive to support individuals and families with the greatest financial need. To qualify for assistance, applicants must have an annual income of no more than $40,000 for a single-person household or $70,000 for a family household. Additionally, assistance is limited to a maximum of $2,000 per person each year.
Our verification process is designed to be straightforward and transparent. Income eligibility is verified using the applicant’s adjusted gross income as reported on official tax documents, while identity and residency are confirmed through state- or government-issued identification. In some cases, invoices or documentation from medical providers may also be reviewed.
These measures help ensure that our funding is directed to individuals and families with the greatest need. Please note that race, ethnicity, gender, and religion are never considered as part of our selection process under any circumstances.
We provide assistance for medical services and products that are prescribed, ordered, or performed by a licensed physician. This may include medical appointments, examinations, diagnostic testing, medically necessary procedures, medications, and prescription-related expenses.
We do not provide assistance for elective medical procedures, including cosmetic surgery, LASIK eye surgery, or weight-loss procedures. Certain preventive care services that are widely recognized and accepted within the medical community—such as mammograms, colonoscopies, cholesterol screenings, and blood pressure evaluations—may qualify for coverage.
However, optional or non-standard preventive services, including preventive MRIs and comprehensive metabolic panel bloodwork, are not eligible for assistance at this time.
Magnifying Research does not distribute funds directly to clients. Instead, we work directly with medical providers to arrange and deliver payment for approved medical expenses. When necessary, funding can also be guaranteed in advance of a procedure or treatment.
To ensure proper allocation of assistance, invoices and related documentation may be reviewed as part of the process. This approach helps ensure that the maximum amount of funding is applied directly toward the intended medical care and services.
